George D. Boldrick diary, 1864.

Typewritten copy of the military diary, 4 July-20 September 1864, of George D. Boldrick of Danville, Ky., while serving in the Commissary Department, USA. He set out from Lebanon, Ky., for Louisville, where he was joined by Captain Huber, his superior officer. They traveled through Nashville and Chattanooga on the way to Marietta, Georgia, where they served until August 31, 1864, when Boldrick quit the service of Captain Huber. Boldrick records the surrender of General Stoneman, the capture of Atlanta, and the death of Gen. John Hunt Morgan. Boldrick returned to Danville via Chattanooga, Nashville, Evansville, Louisville and Lebanon. On the steamer I.T. Combs between Nashville and Evansville, Boldrick met Miss Sallie Austin, the daughter of General Austin.
